Star Sponsors

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

We can't express enough how much we appreciate the ongoing support of Marketing Manager, Greg Daven and the Wildlife team and we're stoked they're onboard again! They're definitely STARS in our eyes!

This year we'll have their donation tins scattered around the festival grounds and every contribution will be a valuable donation towards supporting and funding the vital work of the Wildlife Hospital's veterinary team.

Their critters were a hit with all ages last year and they can't wait to come back for more cuddles creekside!

Coast Creek & Country Realty

Number 1 Real Estate for Currumbin, Coast Creek and Country Realty have jumped onboard as a STAR sponsor and they can’t wait to meet you all at this year’s festival.

Nils and his team share our values and community vision and maintain “to never lose sight of the people who create a community”!

These guys are not your typical real estate agents - there’s no pressure and they value their client’s needs and opinions! Their customers become clients for life!

Thinking of buying/selling or engaging a new manager for your investment property? Contact Nils direct on 0411 843 555.

Connecting Southern Gold Coast

Peter Doggett and the team at Connecting Southern Gold Coast have come onboard in 2015 after the success of our inaugural event.

We would like to thank them for their valuable contribution, which will assist towards the high costs involved. Twelve months planning goes into our event and without the support of our Council entities, a free entry system would not be possible.

Queensland Government

It took our team 15 months and a contribution of personal funds to bring everyone the first BBTC. In order to continue to bring you a FREE cultural weekend, it is imperative that we continue to source sponsors and support funds from various Council and Government bodies.

This year we were lucky enough to be granted funding from the Office of Liquor and Gambling Regulation, which will contribute to a percentage of festival costs. Receiving this approval documentation in the mail was music to our ears and has certainly taken a load of stress off our team.

Our mission has always been to remove the economic barrier so anyone and everyone can enjoy culture and the arts .... thanks Queensland Government, you've made it even more possible this year!

Gold Coast City Council

With a celebrated success first year, the 'approved' box was ticked immediately on application for BBTC15!

Thank you again to the Andrea and the Major Events Team and Cr Chris Robbins for your ongoing support! The approval of the park grounds and supply of extra festival amenities is appreciated, as is the financial contribution to cover our public liability insurance and reporting costs.

Talent Sponsors

Gold Coast Graphic Design

They were behind our website banners and program last year and have taken on the massive task of our whole design process for '15!

Designer Lindsay's been working closely with our Event Director, Cindy to bring a new look to life for 2015. Local artist Dion Parker's illustration became the outline of our poster silhouettes and together the girls created our celebrated masterpieces! BBTC paraphernalia will be plastered everywhere in the weeks leading up .... you won't miss it!

We thank Director, Kelly for taking on our community project as a love job and we want you to know you're a STAR(burst)!

Gold Coast Tipis

Unique theming of our festival is an extremely important factor, as we aim to create individual spaces and worlds to bring a sense of the unexpected to all visiting.

A massive shout out to our local Burleigh family Benn, Hannah and little Lennox who will be bringing a touch of luxe to BBTC15.

These guys have only recently taken the dive into luxury styling and if you're looking to add a touch of class to any of your events, these guys are THE BEST!

Muchas Gracias! We can't wait for some tipi hashtag moments #bbtctipiworld

Gold Coast Barges

They'll not only be barging on in to BBTC15, they'll be front and centre strumming their guitars and bringing the stage alive with their country music showdown!

A heartfelt thankyou to Greg, Tracy and family for hearing our grand plans and having the same belief that 'anything's possible'! We can't wait to introduce everyone to 'Elvis'!

Don't miss them ... circle "The Bridge" on the event program and we'll see you creekside!

Currumbin Creek Tavern

They hosted our inaugural opening party, Battle of the Buskers, Comedy and Covers and will continue to be our venue partner in 2015 ... their intimate, upstairs function room is a local hidden treasure that's perfect for our 'Side Street' events!

Thanks again to the team for continually opening their doors and hearts .... we can't wait to see who takes out the Battle's 'Totally Talented' title this year!

We believe 'Up The Creek' is Gold Coast's Number 1 live music venue, be sure to check out their What's On and go along to support our local live music industry!

Community Partner

Bendigo Bank - Elanora Community Branch

Branch Manager, Mike Brownie and Community Relations Guru, Erin Stewart have both been an integral link in our Not For Profit start-up.

They've now come onboard as a community partner for BBTC15 and the whole Bendigo team can't wait to get involved in this year's festivities!

Bendigo do it, business and day-to-day banking, home loans, superannuation and more! Their customer service also far outweighs that of our bigger banks!

Thanks guys for your support!

Currumbin RSL

We held six successful weeks of Summer Sunday Sessions and launched Barefoot Friday's EP in their Waterside Events rooms and the 'Best Little Club in the World" has once again come on-board in support of their local community event.

Thank you to the team, your contribution is appreciated!

Prize Sponsors

Lovestreet Studios

'Katie Who' took out our "Battle of the Buskers" Totally Talented title last year, which included session recording and mixing with the Number 1 studio on the coast!

Barry and Scott are once again our main sponsor of the Saturday night event and we can't wait to see who gets the winning ticket to record.

'Battle of the Buskers' will be held at Currumbin Creek Tavern on Saturday 17th October from 7pm. It's definitely a live music showdown not to be missed!

Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking

The winner of our 'Battle of the Buskers' not only walks away with cash and a recording package, they also get granted a free ride ticket straight to the grand final of the prestigious Bluesfest Busking competition!

When we approached organiser Anita Collenbrander, she was delighted to collaborate and we couldn't believe her enthusiasm from the onset! This wonder woman knows all there is to know about busking, so we've also signed her to the judging panel of our Battle!

Their Bluesfest Busking 2014 winner, Grizzlee Train are also booked to play our main stage! These guys were snapped up for Kasey Chambers' American tour and we recommend you park up and see them light the stage!

1-DA Shapes

Local shaper, Gavin Upson gave away surfboard vouchers last year to a few lucky festival goers who completed our survey questionnaires.

Our volunteers will be distributing once again and we thank you all for taking the time to help us capture our required data. Look out for the blue buskers shirts and you could win another 1-DAful giveaway!

Check out Gavin's winning shapes on Instagram @1_da_shapes

VOX Studios

Currumbin’s own VOX Studio is all about extracting raw, organic creativity out of each individual and assisting them in finding their inner artist.

Andi has again generously donated a $275 prize package, set to go to a young, emerging singer/musician with the most votes (voting slips available from our information tent or from our volunteer crew). The winner of the VOX Emerging Talent Award will also be offered a guest spot performing at their next VOX Studio Show Production.

Media Partners

1029 Hot Tomato

They've just been voted NUMBER ONE station on the coast again, so we find ourselves writing the same introduction as last year! Congratulations guys!

The talented Moyra Major will be MC'ing at this year's festival, she'll be stage roaming and ready to greet her fans. You'll also see her amazing husband, Paul who created last year's artwork masterpiece within close proximity snapping a shot or two.

Thank you again to all the 1029ers for continuing to spread our festival news across the radio airwaves!

Blank GC

The girls at BlankGC recently made our Event Director a cover-girl, another addition to the long list of the magazine's #BBTC inclusions. We're extremely grateful for their continued coverage and for being voice to our story!

As like 2014, they've offered a feature article and ongoing editorial support for our "Battle of the Buskers" 2015 title winner. The exposure and subsequent opportunities this provided for last year's winner Katie Who, proves this prize is an invaluable marketing tool for the winning artist!

A return shout out to Sam, Chloe and team, THANK YOU!

Special Thanks

Dion Parker

We commissioned local Tugun artist, Dion Parker to illustrate this year's festival face and WE LOVE IT!

We've got grand plans for his original (shown here) and we know our planned marketing stints will create amazing hashtag #BBTC15 history photos!

Thanks Dion, you're a superSTAR talent!

Check out a collection of his work on Instagram @dionsribs

Lucky 13 Creative Industries

The number 13 continues to be our lucky number!

No-one expected to see a vintage vanity, moose antlers or a creatively painted female torso planted in the park last year, three of thirteen unique stage backdrops themed by these fabulous folk!

Up for the challenge again this year, Noel and Deb will continue to focus on our grass roots vision and the duo plan on bringing even more wow factor to the foreshore!

If you're after one-off, personally crafted furniture pieces or wanting a reno that oozes daring difference, don't call anyone else!
